Paulo Raimundo, secretary-general of PCP communists has announced that the prime minister will be receiving a 100,000-strong petition demanding a reversal of the government’s politics. Accusing PS Socialists “and the right wing” of having their hands “dirty in privatisations”, Mr Raimundo told a rally in Vila Franca de Xira on Sunday that the 2024 State Budget simply serves the right wing and large economic groups to the detriment of everyday working people.
