PORTUGAL IS the chosen location for the next film from well-known contemporary American writer and director, Paul Auster.
Auster, who has already co-directed such films as Smoke and Blue in the Face, as well as writing and directing Lulu on the Bridge, has chosen Lisbon for the filming of his new movie, The Inner Life of Martin Frost. Sintra is one of the filming locations that have been mentioned and shooting is due to begin on May 8. The crew will work in Lisbon for five weeks, while postproduction will be carried out in New York.
It has also been confirmed that Portuguese producer, Paulo Branco, will be involved in the production of the film and French actress, Irène Jacob, will play a starring role. However, details of the film’s storyline are yet to be released.
