The local authority in São Brás de Alportel has introduced a novel idea to bring art and culture to the visitor.
They are issuing an “Art Passport” for the holder to go on a cultural tour of local galleries and museums to admire the works on display, and also buy highly original presents to take back home.
The passport can be obtained at the following venues: Municipal Gallery, Arts Centre (Centro de Artes), Museum Centre (Centro Museológico do Alportel) and the Costume Museum (Museu do Trajo).
Each visitor can register his presence on the ‘passport’, which is stamped at each venue, and the person’s name goes into the hat for a lottery draw at the end of the year with a work of art as a prize.
