Passos Coelho’s daughter takes to the catwalk

In a country where almost everyone in high-places finds a well-paid niche for family members and friends, it is refreshing to discover that the daughter of Portugal’s Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho is preparing to go-it-alone in a sector that should have very little to do with politics.
Twenty-one-year old Catarina Padinha (using her mother’s name) appears today in national tabloid Correio da Manhã wearing a bright yellow bikini.
Bearing in mind the appalling weather conditions this week, she shows determination at the very least.
Talking to CM, the youngster also reveals wisdom beyond her years saying she has chosen against using her father’s name as she does not want this to influence her career.
Catarina is now signed up with Go Models Lisboa, and says she hopes eventually to become a singer.
Catarina is the daughter of Fá Padinha, former Doce band singer and ex-partner of Pedro Passos Coelho.
Anyone who knows her “history” will recognise that Catarina has taken after her mother “Fá Padinha”, no longer married to the PM, who used to sing for 80s’ girl-band Doce.
