More than 10,000 visitors attended the fourth Feira da Perdiz, fair of the partridge, in Alcoutim between October 15 and 17, double the number that went to the event last year.
Over the past four years, the fair has evolved from being centred round the partridge to being a fully developed country fair including displays of grouse, deer, rabbits and wild boar.
There was also a chance to sample traditional dishes related to hunting and fishing, enjoy riding demonstrations and dog competitions.
