Parliamentary committee to hear Admiral and defence minister over Mondego mutiny

The parliamentary defence committee has approved a request by Iniciativa Liberal to hear both Admiral of the Navy, Gouveia e Melo and minister of defence Helena Carreiras over the incident that has become known as the ‘Mondego mutiny’. The situation is being presented as one where there is much more than meets the eye – hence MPs interest in questioning those at the top of the chain of command.
