Parliament to hear media group on mass dismissals

Portugal’s parliament has unanimously approved the hearings of the Board of Directors of Global Media, businessman Marco Galinha and former TSF director Domingos Andrade on the restructuring of the group, which includes the departure of around 200 workers. The requests were proposed by the Left Bloc and unanimously approved by the members of the parliamentary Committee on Culture, Communication, Youth and Sport before the hearings of representatives of the workers of Jornal de Notícias, Diário de Notícias, TSF and O Jogo, which are currently taking place.
