The Portuguese Association of Parkinson’s Patients (APDPk) is conducting a survey to establish the number of sufferers in the Algarve.
It started on October 1 in Faro council and will continue on October 10 in Tavira council, Loulé council on October 12 and in Lagoa council on October 19.The survey consists, at a first stage, of a questionnaire in randomly selected households.
In a second phase, respondents identified as possibly having this disease or people who are taking medication for Parkinson’s will be asked to a consultation with a neurologist in a hospital near their home.
