ART GALLERY Espaço d’Arte Silva Guerreiro in Almancil offers visitors the pleasure of viewing great art, with the aim to promote an overall sense of wellbeing. Situated in the heart of the Algarve, the gallery was the dream of Joaquim da Silva Guerreiro, its owner and founder who has long held a passion for art.
The gallery, opened in April, has already been the setting for several successful exhibitions. Silva Guerreiro’s aim is to show the work of established artists but also to help new talent flourish.
The gallery is currently presenting a collective exhibition of paintings by 15 different artists, among whom are Aisar Jalil Martinez (Cuba), Mariola Landowska (Poland), Josué Demarche (Brazil), Peter Nolsen (Belgium), João Moniz and Manuel Gamboa (Portugal).
Meanwhile, there are sculptures on display with pieces by Valérie Bornand (Switzerland), Lekvinadze Irakli (Georgia), Piotr Legat (Poland) and from the African artistic community Tengenenge (Zimbabwe). All the art on display can be purchased.
Entrance is free and as well as an exhibition room, there is also an open air leisure area with bar and terrace area to relax in. The patio is an extension of the gallery and also includes sculptures as well as custom designed furniture by artist Peter Nolsen. It is an exceptional setting, equipped to host all types of events, from business meetings, receptions and workshops to training and dinners.
