Pancake Day races are due to be held on the beach opposite the Hotel Garbe in Armação de Pêra on February 16, to raise funds and awareness for the Association for the Protection of Animals in the Algarve (APAA). There will be races for children and adults starting from 10.30am, with prizes for the winners.
Participants must pay one euro per entry per race on the day.
After the races, pancakes will be served at the hotel’s Boavista bar. Other entertainment includes stalls and a tombola.
