The borough of Paços de Ferreira in the district of Porto has suffered a “significant increase” of Covid-19 cases sending it into the ‘yellow stage’ for transmissibility. Three weeks since the implementation of the government’s ‘risk matrix’ – which measures data relating to cumulative 14-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants plus risk of transmission (Rt) – the borough has “suffered an increase in both indicators” says the local town hall, with an incidence now very close to the limit set by the government (of 120 cases per 100,000 people).
