Overhaul for Lagoa sewage system

ÁGUAS DO ALGARVE and Lagoa Câmara, recently agreed to two projects improving the system of domestic waste water treatment in the borough.

The works will include the renovation and enlargement of the Lagoa ETAR (waste water treatment station) and the construction of another station at Boavista.Works on the Lagoa ETAR are expected to begin in the next few weeks, will cost just over a million euros, and are expected to take just under a year to complete. The construction of the Boavista station is expected to commence before the end of the year with an expectedcompletion date of early 2007 and a total cost of around 3.5 million euros.
