Rubbish bins in Portimão (and across the Algarve) continue to overflow with uncollected rubbish, which has prompted Portimão’s municipal water company EMARP to release a statement clarifying that the responsibility of collecting recyclable waste belongs to regional company ALGAR.
The company nonetheless “laments” the situation and says it stands in solidarity with citizens affected by the issue.
