Over two thirds of Portuguese families have internet in their home

Around 70% of Portuguese families have access to internet in their home, representing a five percentage point increase compared to 2014, according to the latest data from the National Statistics Institute (INE). Lisbon is where most families are connected to the internet (79%), followed by the Azores (76%), Madeira (74%) and the Algarve (69%). The study also found that the internet is mostly used to access social networks as well as play games and watch films online.
