Throughout this month a total of 13 cruise ships, carrying more than 7,000 passengers and 3,400 crew members, are expected to dock at Portimão Port.
Representing the busiest month at the port this year, 13 cruise liners, out of the 45 confirmed so far for 2012, are awaited.
The number of cruise passengers handled at Portimão Port has grown 673%, from 5,798 passengers in 2007 to 44,841 in 2011.
This weekend will see the Seabourn Sojourn (Saturday) and Silversea’s Silver Cloud (Sunday) dock at the port.
Predictions this year show only a slight decrease on last year’s arrivals.
