Organisers are celebrating another successful ‘Start Work’ event in Portimão, which saw over 300 people applying for jobs and internships.
The event took place at Portimão Arena between March 9 and 11 and was visited by around 6,000 people, “mainly youngsters”, interested in taking a closer look at the region’s business, education and job opportunities.
Over 60 high-profile exhibitors took part, including IKEA, Pingo Doce, Leroy Merlin, Worten, Zoomarine, ETIC Algarve, the PIAGET Institute, ISMAT and the University of the Algarve.
‘Start Work’ was organised by Portimão council, Portugal’s employment and training institute (IEFP) and the Algarve’s regional school board DGEstE.
