Over 20,000 people apply for police jobs

Although only 700 job vacancies were advertised for the PSP and GNR police, over 20,000 people applied for them.
These impressive numbers were revealed on Tuesday (September 30), the day that police drafting ended.
While around 10,000 applicants were interested in posts with the PSP – that is, 2,000 less than in 2012, when the last employment drive was held – a total of 11,542 applied for jobs in the GNR – 665 more applicants than in 2012.
Successful candidates will now face a variety of physical, psychological and intellectual tests.
