Over 200 demonstrate in Lisbon calling for new revolution in Iran

More than 200 people demonstrated in Lisbon yesterday against political repression in Iran. The protest came in the context of similar actions both inside Iran and throughout the developed world following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini after being arrested by Iran’s ‘morality police’ for not complying with the country’s hijab rules. According to reports, “many Iranian citizens living in Portugal” took part in the protest, describing the regime in their homeland as one that kills people, “especially young people”, every day.
