THE GRIFFIN Bookshop and Joro Lda in Almancil are hosting a joint Al Fresco Barbecue Party this Saturday (June 3), between 10.30am and 2.30pm, and everyone is welcome to join in!
There will be delicious barbecued food prepared on Joro’s range of gas barbecues, as well as demonstrations of great barbie ideas from the Barbecue Doctor, Alan Chater. There will also be winetasting by WineMine of the best wines for relaxed entertaining and barbecues. The aroma of sizzling sausages from Harman and Rio will tempt your taste buds!
A display of Australian Outback furniture and Oz Shades will give you some ideas for enhancing your outdoor space, and the latest barbecue recipe books will inspire you to increase your repertoire of al fresco meals.
Entertainment will include a Salsa Dance Show and a Fashion Show from the nearly-new women’s boutique, Revivals. Children can join the fun with pony rides, a ‘get kids cooking’ area and a shady ‘colouring and drawing’ area for budding young artists.
A small charge will be made for the food, with proceeds going to the Casa dos Rapazes in Faro to buy much-needed new sports equipment.
