It was a very special morning for young students of the International School of the Algarve in Lagoa … but it was just as special for the Algarve Resident team!
On Thursday, January 31, Years 1 and 2 (1ยบ Ciclo) of the national section and Year 2 of the international section visited first the Lagoa Municipal Bombeiros and then the nearby Algarve Resident offices.
At the fire station, the students had the opportunity to learn about the alarm system and safety equipment. They had great fun trying on helmets and looking inside the vehicles, even having the opportunity to be transported around the headquarters inside a car with sirens sounding.
At the end, they were presented with gifts (magazines, newspapers, pencils and notepads) and even had the honour of being on the front page as โOur Future Journalistsโ!
