UNIVERSAL ORLANDO Park in Florida will launch a new nightly show combining fireworks, lasers and movie theme music on July 1.
Spheres the size of three-storey buildings will form the centre piece in the park’s lake when classic film scenes are projected onto them. Park bosses admit it is aimed at getting visitors to stay longer instead of drifting off to watch the pyrotechnics provided by Disney. The nightly show is one of several new attractions at Universal, which also include a new children’s monorail ride at Islands of Adventure and a new CityWalk nightclub.
