MANY INTERNATIONAL organisations related to missing and exploited children have been involved in the campaign to find Madeleine McCann.

They have gained visibility after the media coverage surrounding the case. As a result, the abduction of children and their trafficking and exploitation is now reported so often by the media that the world cannot ignore the issue any longer.

Some of the organisations are

non-governmental, but many work in conjunction with governments and police agencies.

Their job is to help people going through a missing person drama and to alert the public to the issue and, most importantly, to work as a central contact for useful information about the missing persons in the world.
