An order for two million vaccines against the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu, is to be cancelled by the Portuguese ministry for health.
A total of six million vaccines had been ordered in accordance with World Health Organisation guidelines.
However, the ministry of health is now in talks with pharmaceutical company Glaxo to accept the cancellation of two million of the doses. So far 1.6 million vaccines have arrived in Portugal.
