MUSICIANS OF the Algarve Orchestra are taking legal action against the directors of the company citing exorbitant working conditions and demands.
The orchestra, which was established in 2002, is also currently facing 1.2 million euros of debt, a figure that could push the orchestra into bankruptcy.
Musicians are demanding that their basic salary is increased by 81 per cent and that accommodation while on tour should be at least of a three star standard.
No agreement has been made between the management and the musicians as yet.
