Portimão’s municipal market will be hosting its 12th ‘Festa da Laranja’ (Orange Fest) between Tuesday, February 11 and Sunday, February 15.
For five days, oranges will be sold at the market for just €0.69 per kilo.
There will also be cooking demonstrations and tastings taking place between 10am and 12 noon.
Other special deals and discounts will be available during the event, while two of the market’s cafés – Cafetaria Bar ZDT and Casa das Bifanas – will be offering special menus for the initiative.
Also planned is a gymnastics class on Friday, February 14, which will begin at 10am and is aimed mainly at people suffering from type 2 diabetes, although anyone can take part. It will take place near the market’s main entrance.
All events are free and open to everyone.
