Lethes || It graced Lagoa’s auditorium in July and now it is returning for another two shows in Faro.
Organised by Ideias do Levante, the double opera night entitled ‘Laughter and Tears’ is scheduled for October 10 and 11 starting at 9.30pm at the Lethes Theatre in the Algarve’s capital.
Starring Carla Pontes (soprano), Francisco Brazão (bass-baritone) and Cristiana Silva (pianist), the show features scenes comparing comic and tragic opera through arias and duets from well-known operas by Donizetti, Puccini, Bellini, Verdi and Bizet. The show will be narrated by Paulo Segurado in both Portuguese and English.
Tickets cost €8 for the general public and €5 for under 30s and over-65s.
