An evening of opera classics featuring soprano Carla Pontes, bass-baritone Francisco Brazão and pianist Jeferson Mello is taking place on June 30 at the Lagoa Auditorium from 9.30pm.
Organised by Lagoa’s cultural association, Ideias do Levante, the evening will also include a duet performed by Carla Pontes and guest soprano Sintia Duarte.
The first part of the evening will be dedicated to Mozart while the second part will see interpretations of Puccini, Verdi, Wagner, Offenbach and Gounod.
Tickets, costing €8 for the general public and €4 for Ideias do Levante members, can be purchased at the door.
