Quarteira dog school Iron Dog Algarve is celebrating its first year in business by holding an Open Day on June 5 from 9am to 9pm.
Dog owners can visit the school and benefit from a wide range of activities for free such as behavioural evaluations, training tips and tricks, help to solve some behavioural problems, watch training demonstrations from several dog sports, try an obstacle course, or even take a dip in the swimming pool and introduce their dog to the aquatic environment or simply for some physical maintenance.
As part of the anniversary programme, Iron Dog Algarve has also launched a photo contest on its Facebook page and is awarding participants with prizes such as classes, training tools and photographic sessions.
Dogs born on June 5, 2016 – the same day as the school’s anniversary– will also be presented with gifts.
João Paulino, dog trainer at Iron Dog Algarve, said: “The Open Day is aimed at all dog lovers who want to have fun with their pets while also learning about the potential of dog training.”
