Three in every four Portuguese companies do not plan to hire more employees for the summer season.
According to a survey by Manpower, only 16% of companies will hire more people in the next three months, while 6% plan layoffs.
Still, it is in the south of Portugal where most businesses – mainly in the restaurant and hotel sectors – plan to hire for the summer (13%).
