One dead, six seriously injured in EN125 collision

A 51-year-old man was killed and six people were injured in yet another fatal collision accident on the EN125, this time in Tavira.

The crash happened in the early hours of Saturday morning in Sítio da Caiana in the parish of Conceição and Cabanas.

The man, described by Correio da Manhã as an Olhão resident, was killed “almost instantly”, while six others were rushed to Faro Hospital with serious injuries.

Traffic was diverted for nearly three hours.

Police are now investigating.
