Integrative measures in the treatment of cancer will be discussed during a congress to be held in the auditorium of the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo in Faro between November 3 and 5.
The Algarve Oncology Association (AOA) will be participating in this event, which aims to address the role of complementary therapies in the treatment of cancer as well as new developments within the field.
A spokesman for the AOA said: “We all know that there is no magic treatment for cancer and because of this, it is increasingly important to let patients and the general public know about all the different approaches to the treatment of people with cancer.”
The congress is aimed at professionals, students, patients, families and members of the public, with any health professionals who want to participate in the event asked to contact the AOA directly.
