There will be live music performances every Saturday morning
Shoppers at Olhos de Água’s local market now have more to look forward to than just fresh and local products. Every Saturday morning, between 9am and noon, there will be a live music performance to bring even more life to the market.
The initiative, developed by the parish councils of Albufeira and Olhos de Água, was launched last weekend with a performance by Albufeira musician Carlos Braga.
“Visitors will be able to shop locally whilst enjoying the sounds of the musicians who accepted the invitation,” the parish councils stress.
They add that one of their goals for 2023 is to join forces to “fight seasonality” whilst also providing local musicians and artists with more working opportunities during the so-called low season.
The councils also aim to “promote culture amongst the local population as well as holidaymakers.”
