A new temporary shelter for people who have been forced to leave their homes due to fires, floods or other disasters was inaugurated on Monday in Olhão.
With a capacity for up to 10 people, the shelter is equipped with beds as well as showers and a kitchen.
“Local families without any other kind of support will now have a temporary solution in any of these situations,” the local council says in a statement.
