A clean-up initiative organised by Olhão’s five-star Real Marina Hotel & Spa will take place in several parts of Ria Formosa on Friday, May 26. Volunteers will be mostly hotel staff members though anyone can sign up to help by May 19 ([email protected]). According to Olhão council, “though it is a protected area, Ria Formosa remains a ‘victim’ of the disposal of waste such as plastic, metals and glass”.
