Olhanense youth march on

We recently reported on the success of the Olhanense U15 youth team under the watchful eye of their coach, Tavira PSP police officer Guido Silvestre. Before last Sunday’s home game against Portimonense they were in third place behind leaders V.Setúbal and one point adrift of their opponents from Portimão.
The home side got off to a flying start with Carlos Djaló scoring in their first attack. Within five minutes, a second was added as Leonardo Lelo’s corner was deflected into the net by a Portimonense defender.
Portimonense missed a late penalty to give the home side an important three points. Olhanense now go top of the table level on points with V.Setúbal who could only draw at Despertar SC (Beja).
On Sunday the youth team are at home to Imortal (Albufeira) at the Olhão Municipal Stadium, Estrada de Pechão (N2-6). Kick-off 11am.
