Olhanense start promotion campaign on Sunday
Moncarapachense have a difficult trip to the Azores to play GD Fontinhas in the first round of matches in the Campeonato de Portugal play-off league (south) on Sunday, March 20.
Olhanense, who topped Série F ahead of their near neighbours, entertain Os Belenenses on the same day at the José Arcanjo Stadium, Olhão (behind McDonalds on the EN125). Kick-off is 1pm and supporters are advised to arrive early.
Os Belenenses (Lisbon) will provide stiff opposition having finished Série E with 33 points from 10 wins; three draws and five defeats.
Olhanense played the Mauritius national team in a training game at Colina Verde, Maragota last weekend.
Xavi Venâncio gave the home side the lead after 15 minutes with the African outfit equalising through Kengy Saramandif. Xavi together with new signings Rodrigo Dantas and Ricky Duarte will be looking to get on the scoresheet and give Olhanense a positive start to their campaign to achieve promotion to Liga 3.
The second round of games takes place on the weekend of April 2-3 when Moncarapachense are at home to Sertanense and Olhanense travel to CA Pêro Pinheiro (Sintra).
