Olhanense step up a gear

The squad has spent three days training at the Colina Verde Golf & Sports Resort,  Maragota  near Moncarapacho before travelling, in mid-week, to play Belenenses in Lisbon.

Whilst at Maragota the players welcomed young visitors from the Red Cross Children’s Community Centre in Fuzeta.

Centre-back Mexer, on loan from Sporting, has returned to the Lisbon club for treatment on a knee injury. Several new signings are expected before the weekend’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Indications are that the Brazilian forward Mateus is virtually certain to sign, whilst Ruben (ex-Portimonense) and Jumisse, still under contract with the Portimão side, could be on their way to Olhanense.

This could lead to several players such as Anselmo, Stephane, Zequinha, Joshua and Toy heading in the opposite direction.
