This weekend Olhanense travel to Lisbon to play Sporting B knowing that next season they will probably be playing SC Farense, Louletano and Lusitano in non-league football.
In their efforts to reach the Segunda Liga, Louletano lost at home (1-2) to Fátima whilst SC Farense picked up a point at second place Praiense where they drew 2-2. Both teams are off the pace to reach the Segunda Liga.
SC Olhanense are 18 points from safety with just nine games to play and are resigned to their fate. The upcoming annual general meeting of socio-members will no doubt raise doubts about the future involvement of the Italian consortium who currently control 80% of the SC Olhanense SAD. Interesting times ahead. Olhanense’s next home game is against Ac Viseu at the José Arcanjo Stadium, Olhão, on Sunday, April 9 at 4pm.
