SC Olhanense appointed their third coach this season when Bruno Saraiva took charge at Tuesday afternoon’s training session.
Twenty-four hours earlier, Bruno Baltazar and his deputy Guilherme Ramos tendered their resignations after a run of seven consecutive defeats followed by a disappointing 2-2 draw against 10 men FC Porto B last Sunday.
Bruno Saraiva, 42, will be assisted by Bruno Romão who recently worked with Rui Águas and the Cape Verde national team.
Bruno Saraiva managed Olhanense at the end of the 2012-13 season and was successful in keeping the team in the Primeira Liga with a goalless draw against Marítimo on the last day of the season. If he can keep Olhanense in the Segunda Liga – they are currently bottom and 15 points from safety – this time around he will surely qualify for the freedom of the city!
