José Mourinho was on vacation in the Algarve at Ferragudo last week and contemplating making an approach for the €40 millon rated Manchester City and Spanish international striker but it was Portuguese Premier Liga side Olhanense who actually signed David Silva.
But this David Silva comes on a free transfer from Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock where he made 45 appearances over the last two seasons scoring four times.
The 25 year-old winger started his career at FC Porto and has also plied his trade in Bulgaria and Spain. The accomplished midfielder Cauê could be on his way to SC Braga whilst Fernando Alexandre and Vinicius may be moving in the opposite direction. Olhanense own 30% of Cauê’s contract.
Another Olhanense player linked with Braga’s Arsenalistas is Ismaily whilst veteran strikers Djalmir and Toy may be on their way to Lisbon based Belenenses.
Other rumoured transfer news has linked Dady with Romania’s Steaua Bucharest and Andre Pinto with Panathinaikos (Greece).
Sporting Lisbon’s Pereirinha and Renato are high on the list of loan signings that interest Olhanense manager Sérgio Conceição.
