The Old Village Classic Golf Tournament was played for the 13th time at Vila Sol Pestana in Vilamoura on March 3.
The course, described by players as “not an easy one to read”, was in “excellent” condition and provided a good challenge for players. Winners for the different categories were:
Owners (ladies) – Brenda Chadwick (32 points)
Owners (men) – John Rigby (35 points)
Guests – Alfie Henighen (28 points)
Junior – Tyler Lydsey (17 points)
Nearest the pin – Cynthia Mariner
Longest drive – Brenda Chadwick
In the evening, a dinner was held for the players at the Casa do Largo Restaurant in the Old Village, Vilamoura.
