A disused primary school in Parises, São Brás de Alportel, has been transformed into a day centre for local elderly people.
Inaugurated on January 6, the Centro de Convívio de Parises has been completely renovated to meet the needs of the senior population.
São Brás de Alportel Câmara hopes the facility, representing an investment of €77,000 (75% funded by the EU), will help improve the quality of life of its elderly residents aged over 65.
