A bike ride in aid of a Silves based charity supporting underprivileged people set off from Vila Real de Santo António on Monday.
Organised by Algarve resident and business owner, Chris Winstanley (pictured fourth from right), the ride will take participants along the Ecovia cycle route from the Spanish border at Vila Real de Santo António to the most south-westerly point in Europe, Cape St. Vincent.
Chris and eight other intrepid cyclists will be riding the 250 kilometre route over four days. Chris Winstanley chose Castelo de Sonhos charity after meeting with its president Dra Liliana Rodrigues and learning more about the work she and volunteers carry out to help underprivileged people in the region.
