Vilamoura’s Old Course has been named Portugal’s ‘Best Golf Course’ by British magazine Today’s Golfer.
The accolade was given at the publication’s annual ‘Travel Awards’ ceremony.
“The UK is one of our main markets, so we are very happy to receive this recognition from the readers of Today’s Golfer,” said CEO of Oceânico Golf Luís Correia da Silva.
“This award is the acknowledgement of our dedication and work over the years,” he added, saying that the Old Course was up against “some of the best golf courses in Europe”.
Da Silva added nonetheless that it is invariably “one of the favourites of golfers who travel to the Algarve”.
The Old Course is one of five Vilamoura courses owned by Ocêanico Golf, alongside Pinhal, Lagunam, Millennium and Victoria Clube de Golf.
