The countdown has started for the Bavarian festival celebrated from September 21 to October 8 in Porches with authentic food, drinks and musical entertainment.

Vila Vita’s Biergarten in Porches is in countdown mode for the season’s most anticipated event. From September 21 to October 8, the Algarve Oktoberfest returns for an authentic experience with all the flavours and fervour of the Bavarian beer celebration.

With large communal tables, inviting friends and family to socialise, and the entire team of the Biergarten dressed in traditional costumes, the famous Algarve-style Oktoberfest festival has become a tradition.

From the Master Brewer’s board, covered in flavourful charcuterie made at Vila Vita Biergarten’s famous butcher shop, to iconic sausages of various types, schnitzels, classic bretzels, sweet Apfelstrudels and vegetarian options, there will be many Bavarian delicacies and emblematic flavours on offer.

Different types of beers will be served to quench festivalgoers’ thirst, with the most popular being the Weissbier from Erdinger, one of Germany’s most renowned breweries and event partner.

The Algarve’s Al-Fanfare band will kick off the party on Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday evenings, followed by a traditional Bavarian band that returns every year to put the finishing touch to the festivities.

The festival opens every day at 17h00, except Sundays when it opens at 13h00.
