A MAN, 21, who was shot while trying to stop two car thieves in the early hours of Saturday morning ( March 1), died in hospital on Tuesday.
Diogo Ferreira was shot in the head in the Oeiras shopping centre car park as he tried to stop the men from stealing an unoccupied car.
Doctors at the São Xavier hospital in Lisbon switched off his life support machine around 9am on Tuesday. The bullet was due to be removed during the autopsy and sent to the PJ ballistics department to be used as evidence as well as CCTV footage from the car park.
