Despite ongoing moans and groans from people up and down the country, Portugal seems finally to have shed its 2012 nickname of “Poortugal”. A recent OECD survey has concluded that the country will have recovered economic activity within the next few months. The same goes for Spain and Greece, with a deceleration in progress predicted for Ireland.
Positive also are OECD growth estimates for Germany, the UK, France and Italy, as well as those for the major economies of the United States and Japan.
