Scheduled on March 19 and April 1 & 22, the walks will take place in the Baixo Guadiana area.
The Associação Odiana is organising a cycle of three walks in the Baixo Guadiana between March and April.
The first route, “Walk for a greener planet”, is approximately 10 kilometres long and will take place on March 19. The walk will start at 09:30 at the Grupo Recreativo da Corte António Martins headquarters in Vila Nova de Cacela.
The second hike, “Walking is the best medicine”, is scheduled on April 1 at 14:30. The 10 kilometres walk, starting from the Parish Council of Pereiro, aims to “warn the population about strokes, one of the diseases that causes the most chronic disability in Portugal”.
The third walk will take place on April 22, aiming to “raise awareness of the population for the preservation of the planet and the environment that surrounds us” under the motto “Preserve and do not destroy”. The 11-kilometre route starts at the Revelim de Castro Marim at 14:30.
According to the Associação Odiana, these walks aim to “foster a healthier lifestyle among the population”.
