DETAILS OF phase two of the five-star Amendoeira Golf Resort, which features courses designed by Nick Faldo and Christy O’Connor Jnr, have been released to the public by the Oceânico Group.
The second phase of the 500 million euro development sees purchasers receiving membership of the two golf courses at Amendoeira, together with the Vilamoura courses of Victoria, where the Portugal Masters will be held from 2007 to 2009, Laguna, Millennium, Old Course and Pinhal.
The exclusive offer comes following the Oceânico Group’s acquisition of the five Vilamoura courses in March this year, and makes Oceânico the only company in Europe to offer membership of so many leading golf courses as part of a property purchase.
Phase two of the Amendoeira Golf Resort will continue the development of the 640-acre site near Silves, four miles inland from the Algarve coastline. The phase one launch saw 60 per cent of the properties sold on the first day, with completion of the first properties and two golf courses scheduled for spring 2008.
The newly released properties offer a mix of 92 two and three bedroom apartments, 12 three bedroom villas, and 12 of Oceânico’s new Prestige properties. Prices for the apartments start from 495,000 euros, the three-bedroom villas start from 950,000 euros, while the exclusive Prestige properties are priced at around two million euros.
National interest
Commenting on the launch, Simon Burgess, director of the Oceânico Group, said: “With Oceânico’s purchase of the five courses at Vilamoura earlier this year, we have created the best golf and property investment opportunity in Europe. No other company can offer membership of seven golf courses, each designed by a top golfer or golf course designer.
The Portuguese Investment Agency, appointed by
the government, recently recognised the Amendoeira Golf Resort as a ‘project of national interest’ for its excellent environmental standards and impact on the local economy.
