Oceanic patrol boat “Setúbal” left Lisbon yesterday for a three-month mission in the Gulf of Guinea, passing by Angola, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Nigeria and São Tomé e Principe. According to defence minister João Gomes Cravinho, it’s “the first EU coordinated maritime presence”, a pilot-project of the Portuguese European presidency which runs until June.
